Ivan Tihienko's Augmented Reality

Ian Tihienko takes on augmented reality as his Bezalel academy of Arts and Design final project. In his vision, cell phones and computers are replaced by holographic shadows. Interfaces are projected over the ground for activities such as playing games, writing messages to others, or navigating. Watch this demo movie:

Augmented reality? I'm not impressed by a little After Effects work on some cheesy interface. Maybe this is cool for someone who's not into the field, but for anyone remotely affiliated with interaction design this is just very cliché and very, very poorly presented.
