Oliver Jeffers
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 12:19AM Oliver Jeffers has all sorts of fabulous work on his website. It ranges from loose sketches to realistic paintings and book illustrations. I like his style a lot. It is very sophisticated but very relaxed.

Today I bought the star gazer gift set. I have been looking at it for weeks through the Flinders University book shop window. ( I am a muture age student ) I thought my son Matthew would like it, but I was unable to purchase it, and to be honest Matthew passed away some time ago ( he would of been 10 years old last Sunday ) so why I become obssessed with it who knows. Matthews Birthday came and went, the book went missing from the window for a short time, and today it was back and I just had to have it. Soooo the book will be given to a young fellow of the name Bailey. He also has just become 10 years old and was in hospital with my Matthew when they were both born in 1999 extremely premeture. I cant waite to send it to him. Because Matthew is the brightest star in the sky and the book is a guide to catch a star. This is a little story Bailey's Mum tells him, sooooo a total appropriate book for all of us.
on of my favourite artists!
